40 trains per day go through Sandpoint, Idaho, population 7000. We heard no train whistles or horns.

The Snake and the Clearwater below Lewiston. I accidently took the crazy road going down the mountain instead of turning left onto the easier newer highway.

Hell's Gate Lewis and Clark interactive learning center was all about a part (Idaho) of their epic journey and about the compassion and helpfulness of the native people of many different tribes across the country.

I was driving so I usually missed the pictures I wanted.
the scenery was sometimes spectacular and strange.
